The cooperation agreement was signed in Phnom Penh at a ceremony attended by senior officials from the Cambodian Ministry of Commerce and VTeam Group executives. H.E. The agreement was signed by H.E. Samheng Bora, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Commerce, and Mr. Fengtai Wen. The platform will function as a national infrastructure for cross-border trade, supply chain integration, trade finance, and digital services between Cambodia and China.

Under the agreement, VTeam will work closely with the Ministry of Commerce to co-develop and operate the platform, drawing on its experience in international trade services, cross-border financing, and digital platform architecture. The project aims to improve trade efficiency, reduce barriers for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and support Cambodia’s broader industrial internationalization strategy.

H.E. Cham Nimul, Cambodia’s Minister of Commerce, emphasized that expanding trade cooperation with China—particularly in agriculture and manufacturing—is a national priority, and that a government-backed, integrated trade platform will play a critical role in achieving this objective. VTeam was selected based on its proven capabilities in global trade facilitation and financial services, which align closely with Cambodia’s current development needs.

VTeam has an established presence across emerging markets, including Southeast Asia, and has built long-term partnerships with governments, financial institutions, and enterprises worldwide. Its role in the platform will include technical development, operational support, and the integration of international trade and financing resources.

This agreement follows VTeam’s December 2025 strategic cooperation with Cambodia’s Securities and Exchange Regulator on the Angkor Wat securitization initiative, reinforcing the company’s expanding collaboration with Cambodian authorities across both trade and capital-market infrastructure.

Both parties stated that the Cambodia–China trade platform will be advanced in phases, with a focus on delivering tangible benefits to Cambodian exporters and supporting sustainable, long-term growth in bilateral economic relations.
